What are $uninstall files in windows directory

With the information provided, I would assume the uninstall process has worked to an extent, but there are ways to manually remove steam. You'll need to be comfortable with Regedit but the process is outlined here: Exit Steam if it is still running even after the uninstall. Navigate to your Steam directory. Delete all of the contents of your Steam directory.

Right-click on Valve and select Delete. Right-click on Valve select Delete. Close your Registry Editor. Note: This is a non-Microsoft website. If the freed space after deleting unnecessary files is not enough, you can try to increase the capacity of C drive, especially when other drives have extra free space on the same hard drive.

It can allocate free space from a partition with enough space to C drive without losing data and add unallocated space into C drive , whether the unallocated space is contiguously behind C drive or not.

Have a look at how it allocates free space to C drive easily. Step 1. Install and run the partition tool. In the pop-up window, type the size of free space that you want to allocate from partition D and choose partition C as the destination partition. Step 3. Connect and share knowledge within a single location that is structured and easy to search. I have come up in situations where Windows Installer is unable to uninstall because it's missing the original MSI file, which leads me to believe that it stores a copy of all installed MSI packages somewhere.

It expectes it to reside in the same folder as it was installed from. Removing the MSI file from this folder does not hinder the uninstallation process though, so I've refused this theory. This folder actually contains a bunch of seemingly randomly named MSI files. But this list is incomplete. I do find entries in the registry key mentioned in 1 which does not have an MSI copy in this folder.

So how does this work? If you want to delete your app which refuses to uninstall for example from the list of installed apps in Control Panel, you can delete the entry from this Uninstall key. It will surely disappear from the list in control panel, but Windows will still remember it. For example, if you try to install a next version of the same app, Installer may still insist on uninstalling the previous version.

See item 2 for that. ValueName "LocalPackage" in this reg key will point to the renamed msi file. Follow us and you will know how to uninstall the programs from Windows 10 completely and easily. Using the control panel is the easiest way we usually take to uninstall program, click the start button and choose control panel, then go to. Choose the program you want to uninstall, but in this way, you will delete the main program file only. To delete the remaining leftovers, you will check the following folders and delete them.

With the above steps, you can completely uninstall a program from windows.
