But allow me to play devils advocate and say that grandstream is a software company that makes hardware for their products to run on. Now with that being said grandstream never stopped making more devices with different software builds across their product line and they are still bringing new devices to market.
If they could somehow create one software platform that can run across multiple devices it would make it easier for them to release more devices and bring them to marker faster based on user feedback and interaction. Also, they would be able to work on feature requests priorities and be able to support their products more efficiently. I would go one step further and say if the ucm was a modular device that you could buy only what you need, fxo, fxs, e1 then it would get rid of all the different unit they currently have, while decreasing cost and increasing the performance lowering the cost of production, etc.

An Application Record can only ever belong to one Application Group at one time. Once the Application Record is added to the Application Group, all the underlying Licenses are permanently moved to the Group.
Licenses cannot be shared or moved between different Application Groups. And we will only move it to the same customer. Application Records cannot be passed between different customers.
